Allevyn* Ag Adhesive (Adhesive Hydrocellular Antimicrobial Dressing) is an antimicrobial absorbent 3-layer dressing. The Allevyn Ag Adhesive consists of a SSD (Silver Sulfadiazine) containing absorbent hydrocellular pad which is sandwiched between a perforated adhesive wound contact layer and a waterproof outer film.

Allevyn Ag Adhesive is an antimicrobial absorbent dressing and can be used for the management of wounds healing by secondary intention, chronic and acute full thickness wounds, partial thickness or shallow granulating wounds, exuding wounds such as:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Venous ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Superficial dermal burns
  • Donor sites
  • Fungating / malignant wounds
  • Surgical dehisced wounds
  • Allevyn Ag Adhesive may also be used on infected wounds. Where the product is used on infected wounds the wounds should be treated as per local protocol.
